Twisted Sister tour plans
Published February 10, 2004
TWISTED SISTER frontman DEE SNIDER spoke to Foundry Music recently about forthcoming tours and the rerecording of their classic Stay Hungry opus. With regards to touring, Dee says the band has some dates booked in the spring, but "I don't see any seriously cohesive touring going on for Twisted Sister this summer... I'm not seeing the offers that we need." He states that the members of Twisted Sister have "found life after rock n' roll" and have no interest in going "Back to the future", explaining that the band would have to suspend current business endeavors to go on tour for three months, and risk losing other opportunities. Snider says that he would love to see a JUDAS PRIEST/Twisted Sister package tour or a MOTLEY CRUE/Twisted Sister package tour, but he thinks the likelihood of that happening would be slim. He also says that some of his peers "don't see themselves in a realistic light." About going into the studio to rerecord the classic Stay Hungry for the 20th anniversary of the album, Snider comments: "Musically we loved it. Production-wise we were not happy with that record," alluding to his displeasure with producer Tom Werman, who Atlantic Records forced upon the band.

Boy, I hope Twisted Sister's re-recording doesn't turn out like what Quiet Riot did. I'm not sure Dee Snider can hit the notes (not that he ever sang high) he hit in the 80's and Kevin Dubrow certainly couldn't.
