Installing Real One Player for the Grammys (without it taking over your life and computer)
Published February 08, 2004
The fine post "Fix RealPlayer for the Grammys" shows you how to patch RealPlayer to prevent a security breach from hackers. I have tried unsuccessfully to ping it so I've decided to re-post my article (below) that shows you how to install it without compromising your privacy.
Most of us cannot appreciate the full internet experience without having to install Real One Player for one reason or another. Unfortunately when you have the monopoly (well almost) on media streaming you (think you) can do pretty much what you want. And that includes compromising a user's right to privacy. Check out this tutorial and find out how to take back control of your computer.
