It's probably never wise to worship people who are still alive, or still dead for that matter, but generally the longer people are dead, the better they are to worship -- to a point, after which it all starts caving in. For example, Abraham's forerunners were acknowledged jerks, tracing all the way back to the monkey house at Brookfield Zoo, look it up, and chimps should never be worshipped under any circumstances, whether they're president or not.
