Courtney Love is back and it was worth the wait. It's about time she came back and showed all those little boy bands who think they're rock what it's really all about. The album is great and will not disappoint any fan of hers, although she doesn't really try anything new, why fix it if it isn't broken? It contains all the screaming guitars and vocals that are signature of Courtney. However, there are some parts where I wonder what she was thinking, one of the most out-standing being the chorus of Julian, 'I see Paris, I see France, I can see your underpants'. This lacks any conviction and is very disappointing since we all know how great a song writer she is. It makes me wonder if she was taking the p**s on this song which I certainly hope she was. However in saying that, it's still a great album from a great rock star. You show them how it's done Courtney!!!

Courtney Love is coming to save rock n roll! Well ... maybe nothing that grand, but she is a great rock diva! She has never been a singer as much as someone who knows how to make a song erupt from her gut. Celine Dion may have technique, Britney Spears may be a good dancer, but Courtney makes you BELIEVE every word. She "fakes it so real she's beyond fake!" She's post-irony! And personally AMERICA'S SWEETHEART is one of my most eagerly awaited releases of this or any year! MONO is brilliant and sharp! "GOD you owe me one more song/ So I can prove I'm better than HIM!" Is she wailing about Kurt, Eminem, Fred Durst, or her Hole partner Eric Erlandson? Probably all of them at once! HIM is collective, and Courtney is here to prove that great rock is sexless! She may be a mess in real life, but she's gonna prove that three chords and a lot of estrogen are more powerful than anything!
