I have no doubt about his "guilt" regarding many things - no need to reiterate them - but I do not presume to know his status in this most important of matters.

I hope he is innocent - and I don't mean legally innocent, I mean he didn't do it innocent - because his innocence would make it much easier for me to go back to being a fan of his music, which I was very strongly from '69 until at least '93, when the combination of behavior and allegations really started to creep me out.

I would cheerfully accept merely being creeped out by him at this stage of the game, rather than him being a confirmed child molester. If I am harsh toward Jackson, much of it is from the position of a severely disappointed fan.

Yeah, most people do seem to have convicted Jackson before the trial, and that's unfortunate. But something really bothers me about drawing partisan crowds to the actual trial, regardless of which side they're on.

As for the two people who know whether he's guilty or innocent, you're not including Michael Jackson are you? 'Cause I'm not sure he's clear on that.

Actually, with all due respect, the fact that you put "or guilty" in parentheses shows your point, Eric. You've been very clear about where you stand. :)

No one save those two know whether he is guilty or innocent. And perhaps the "family and fans" are throwing rallies, as silly as that is, because the mob screaming "guilty" is so huge and loud.

Absolutely - right now only about two people know for sure whether he is innocent or guilty. But I don't see calls for "guilty rallies." How can people presume to know he is innocent (or guilty) - that's my point.

Might be true for those who insist he is guilty too.

Sounds like mob justice: he who can bring the biggest mob must be in the right.
