The Assault on Labor Unions, Workers and Non-Rich Americans

In Government tells employers how to avoid paying OT, we see that our government is joining in on the crusade against the worker. Inequality and Corporate Power explains how this crusade is taking place, focusing on the ever widening gap between the rich and the poor with the middle class disappearing. Here are ten causes of the gap that the authors, Edward Wolff and Jared Bernstein, listed:

1. Falling Levels of Unionization
2. Corporate Globalization
3. Declining Minimum Wage
4. The Soaring Stock Market
5. Tax Cuts for the Rich [check out The Onion satire about Bush's tax cuts, and see Homer Gets a Tax Cut to figure out why so many non-rich Americans support tax breaks for the rich]
6. Reduced Taxes on Corporations
7. Declining Welfare Payments to the Poor, Increased Payments to the Rich
8. An Out-of-Whack Financial System
9. Tight Money from the Federal Reserve
10. A Culture of Overcompensation and Acceptance of the Wealth DivideThat is exactly what I think is the problem--all of it. If you vote for Dirtgrain, I promise to do away with all of these treacheries. Power to the people.

If you have questions, or if you are not rich and want to gripe about the lack of upward mobility, or if you are rich and want to complain about how non-rich people are always griping about money that should "rightfully" be yours, go to Inequality.org, an excellent site where I found several of the above articles. If you're not so sure about the widening gap, then see The New, Definitive CBO Data on Income and Tax Trends. And for last time, no, I'm not a communist--I just want everyone to have an equal shot at life, liberty and happiness, and I want us to do away with poverty.

The new website http://americaunited.info offers a solution to the political crisis we are in as well as being informative as to the political situation. THE STATE OF AMERICA TODAY IS NOT AN ACCIDENT?
The menu items "future of america", "a capitalist eden", "how a tax on the wealthy became a tax on labor" , and "history of money lending" may seem provocative; however, we feel that the body of the site supports these considerations. we are in the business(non-partisan) of informing the public, helping voter registration, and participation of the electorate to realize the dream in the preamble of our constitution.
have a great day. rep@americaunited.info
