This is directed to the moron who used the phrase "smoking crack"...Mike or whoever. What's wrong with crack? Democrats love crack! We all know that. Criminals smoke crack, correct? Well, everyone knows that Democrats love criminals. What do they argue? Prison overcrowding...sentences too long...child molesters don't really physically hurt anyone...guns do...y'know, all that stuff? So why would "mike" say something like this? I was floored! That such an intellectual would portray the act of smoking crack in such a deragetory fashion! Wow...I guess Democrats ARE the hypocrites they're made out to be! I thought if you were a Democrat you were magically smarter. Y'know, like the criminals they love so much. After all, it's not their fault. NO ONE should be actually locked up for smoking crack. Thanks "mike"...you're brilliant! You should run for President. Or at least Mayor of Washington D.C...Hey...where's my pipe?

Hey, if you-all knew about the free nut-warmers we get in Canada, you'd all want to live here. Which is why we don't tell you about them. Plus they are paid by the government, it's part of our national health-care. Excuse me, my nut-warmer is too toasty, I have to adjust it.

Oh, one ohter thing, if New York City and Los Angeles are such hell holes, why do so many people want to live there? Last I heard, people weren't queing up to live in East St. Louis or the suburbs of Anywhere Montana. Or the entire state of North Dakota.

Uhm, and that would be the New Democratic Party (oopps, sorry Canada only) so you are looking for the National Socailist Party? Geez, don't you Yanks have some sort of 12 step programme for these poor delusional citizens to get them sober before they stagger into a voting booth and have to confront a rigged machine in a sham election? And if the Dems become the same as the Reps, then what is the point of voting?

Dean and his supporters are angry, bitter, and in some ways Anti-American. They hate the success of President Bush because they wrote him off as a dumb southerner. They have moved the Democratic party so far to the left that when their agenda is taken away from liberal bastions like New England, New York, and L.A. they will get trounced, and the once proud Democratic party will be a shell of itself.

I think Eric, if you want the anti-war to go (order it with a double-double and a donut, sorry), stop the phony war. Hey presto, no problemo. How about sending the troops to root out the right-wing militias which are the biggest threat in the States? Ask yourselves, do you want peace, order and good government, or the end of a long nightmare of peace and prosperity. And how about that greenback declining? Way to go for my prosperity at your expense and giving the truth to lie about the economic recovery (admit it you right wing-nuts, it's not getting better, it's just getting less worse -- assholes).

What I want to know is, are liberal lemmings warmer and fuzzier than conservative lemmings? Though I am not now leaning toward Dean or any other Democratic candidate, Dean does seem more centrist than leftist - that anti-war thing has got to go, though. I want a Democrat with veins in his teeth.

Smuggling in a boxcar, I would rethink that, at the least there would be hobo spongebaths, and at the worst it would be like the beginning of "Human Cargo" or the second season of The Wire. And I keep getting puzzled by this scurriliationment of "liberal"? They are the government and just conservatives with a different name. From here you in the States have two right wing parties, so what is the tsuris? After all, it's not like your vote makes a difference.

Tom - Since you bring up Canada giving the world hockey and nothing else of value I though you might also like to know that basketball was also invented by a Canadian. There was the telephone and the discovery of penecillin and stuff like that but I do not want to brag. There are great inventions and discoveries coming from all over the world. There may even be things more important than discretionary income (like good health for example).
