Who is #1? Does it Matter? Not at ABC!

"Maybe what happened this year will help everybody in the future," USC coach Pete Carroll said during an interview with ESPN after Sunday night's game (full USA Today article).
Now there is a gracious Dude! Let's take that thought and apply it to tweaking the system so we never have this kind of controversy again, a controversy that resulted in more Bling Bling for ABC. Ratings haven't been this GOOD since 2000 so don't look for Too much change, just enough to Quiet the crowd til next time.

In defense, this does not appear to be a case of "forced click over" because it says the same thing on his site - it would be nice to get more information and an assessment, however.
Here is the context -- there were 3 one loss teams this year in College Football(CF): OU, LSU and USC. OU happened to lose the Conference Championship game, which only 2 conferences play anyway, and it was the last game before the final BCS rankings were released. The BCS was the system put into place by CF about 5 years ago to try a better way to crown a National Champion by minimizing the human polls and judge teams by a full season rather than on the last game played. So, CF had 3 one loss teams and all three had a legitimate argument to be playing in the Championship Game. 3 teams can't play, so USC was left out based on their strength of schedule, even though, based on the last game played mentality, USC was #1 in the final regular season polls.

Zud, or Mr. Funck, whichever you prefer, maybe you could utilize the power of Blogcritics and explain what this controversy is without requiring us to click over to your site for more, or to another news site. That's kind of the point of Blogcritics - your POV on an issue, but without an explanation of the issue, your POV doesn't really mean anything, you know?
