Michael Jackson fans gathered in cities across North America to burn candles and wave placards in support of the embattled megastar.

"I've been a fan for 20 years," said Erick Heikurinen, 30, at a rally in a downtown Toronto square. "Michael is a good person, a kind-hearted person who is just too honest sometimes."

When confronted by the media, no-one knew what Jackson was actually charged with, or the fact that these accusations weren't the first of their kind.

"Child molestation? fucking christ, this is the last time my wife talks me into this shit!" exclaimed a visibly upset vigil-holder.

It's 11:43 AM, I'm hungover, tired, have to go to work in an hour, and that's the funniest thing I've read in a long time.
Thanks.

totally dumb and uninformed. but at least you had a good time wasting it.

#4 — January 3, 2004 @ 03:07AM — crushkill [URL]

how can something like this possibly be informed.

#5 — January 3, 2004 @ 04:36AM — Michelle [URL]

how can a person that wasn't even there tell anything about the people that were there and judge on that? isn't that kind of uninformed? err. i mean, i was there at least to be able to say how uninformed this blog entry is.

that guy who said fucking christ whatever probably wasn't even an MJ-fan. we talked to many people who were passing by who just came closer, because they were interested to see what we're doing and thinking.

I think people are failing to understand the satire as the author intended.

He's making fun of the idea that someone would believe accusations as gospel truth just because they are sensational and "weren't the first of their kind."

In other words, the author is lampooning the idea that some people believe Michael Jackson must be guilty simply because he has been accused of a crime.

Either that, or he is endorsing that idea, in which case, yeah, he's totally dumb and uninformed.

obviously you've put alot of thought into what people who hold vigils for michael jackson would say , so im just going to leave it at that and let you think some more about michael jackson's fans on your own.

its your time to waste, not mine.

Crushies, to avoid this kind of misunderstanding, please be careful to use the Humor and Satire subcategory, that would be most helpful, and then the work can just be funny and not have to answer to questions of factual veracity.

i am disgusted at this report of the man saying that he didnt know. no offence but i think that report is rubbish. i mean you may think he did it (although i think that its just an excuse for that mother to get money) but evn so, you would have to be living in a cave for the past month to not know about the allegations against him! And plus the media are always making up lies, they will go to extreme lengths to sell a story. for example that far fetched story about richard gere!
anyway, i love you michael jackson! and i support you all the, no matter what some people are saying i know in my heart you are innocent!

#10 — January 15, 2004 @ 09:51AM — Eric Olsen

Sam, two things: how do you know he is innocent? And this story is a joke, it was made up.

How do you know Michael is a pedophile. We know he is being charged with molesting a young boy, but that doesn't make him a pedophile. There is a small chance that he didn't do it. The accusers did lie on the stand for God's sake. And even if he did molest the boy, it doesn't make him a pedophile. Pedophiles love children. They are different from child molesters, even the American Psychiatric Association says so. And, even if he IS a pedophile, is that necessarily a bad thing?

#12 — November 10, 2006 @ 12:09PM — Erick Heikurinen

I'm Erick Heikurinen and This man is lying son of a gun, I know more about the case and the last case more then these bull shit talker for never interview me or any one at the vigil, we seek the truth, we all new about accusations and we know the truth

All Bullshit ? When confronted by the media, no-one knew what Jackson was actually charged with, or the fact that these accusations weren't the first of their kind.
The Truth starts here>
"I've been a fan for 20 years," said Erick Heikurinen, 30, at a rally in a downtown Toronto square. "Michael is a good person, a kind-hearted person who is just too honest sometimes."
