While national home sales dropped to 6.06 million in November from 6.35 million in October, Florida home sales increased by 4-percent for single family homes, at 10,322 statewide. At the same time last year sales totalled 9,917, according to the National Association of Realtors.
Florida's median sale price rose from $153,300 one year ago to $172,500 this year.
Low interest rates, population growth and the high demand for owning a home, or condo, are believed to be what's driving the market.
