yankees. i am born and raised in new york. i love the yankees. i love goerge. however, what the f--k is going on? no, don't get a young and good burnett. no, don't get a young and good beckett. no, don't get a young and good zito. get nolan ryan. are you kidding me. worry about the farm system. get leiter, brown, nomo etc. my grandfather grew up watching them. what is going on for $200 million? do i have to be the general manager?

the new york yankees need to go the good-youth route. they are out there. find them. let cashman do his job. get rid of pavano-wright-mussina-johnson. bring in burnett-ryan-beckett-zito. theres a news flash. yankee stadium. do they need a good left handed pitcher? duh. they need a bench. spend billions. i don't care. just spend wisely. not on old timers. how many more years does mariano have? time to get rid of him. get something for him while you can. don't wait.

joey pavia was the greatest baseball player that i ever saw. the greatest baseball player in the whole state of new york. i am 74 years old. i have been around. joey pavia was the greatest. could hit. could hit for power. could run. boy could he run. he was so fast. was a tremendous pitcher. 98-99 mph fastball. great control.
