It's time for the year end countdown that really matters: The Dr. Demento Show Funny 25!

When I was a kid, there were quite a few members of my crowd who got into punk after hearing "God Save the Queen" on Dr. D., so I think that should get honorary mention.
I still have my Dr. D. postcard, signed "Thanks for the poem," referring to the one I wrote, ending, as I recall, "That's why I watch [sic] Dr. Demento," which he read on the air, supposedly wearing the "Stinky Cheese Noseclip " I sent. I got beat up a lot.
I also saw him live at the Rialto Theater in Pasadena, where he showed a movie comprised of a bunch of Gene Autry serials strung together so there was a cliffhanger every 15 minutes. It had something to do with him using his cowboy and singing skills to save a futuristic underground civilization.
