The Guardian has published its list of the best British weblogs of 2003. The article notes:

"All the blogs mentioned here are exceptional. They are a testament to the growing richness of British blogging. They demonstrate great design, good writing and smart use of links to provide a series of windows on worlds we would otherwise never know about. This was exactly the intention of the awards when we first began them in 2002."

This is one article you shouldn't miss. It highlights some of the more innovative and intriguing weblogs out there on the Web.

The award for Best Design went to The Big Smoker, a witty and amusing weblog that looks at life in London and occasionally the rest of England.

Of course, the outstanding Pepys Diary wins a prize, beating out the howlingly funny The London Underground Tube Diary (mind the gap!).

And then there's Belle du Jour, written by a London call girl.

And then there's...well, just read the article.

Makes one think there may be something to this blogging stuff after all.
