(and "hate" is used appropriately here). The Real Player borders more on being like a virus than truly useful with how it invades your system tray at startup and takes control of file associations and email checkboxes defaulted. It's a shame that some sites (mlb.com) force you to use Real format or I'd never use it on any machine.
