Criminy, but Yoko's a bitch

Yoko Ono came closer to making John Lennon happy than any other woman, so I want to grant her a lot of credit for being therapeutically effective for a great man. That was a valuable contribution to society.

Still, Jesus what an annoying bitch. From Fox News:

Ono's weirdest piece of video trickery comes on the recently released DVD "Lennon Legend: The Very Best of John Lennon." On one film, for the classic song "#9 Dream," Ono has edited herself into the original video. There you will find her mouthing the backup vocals that were sung on the original hit recording by Lennon's girlfriend at that time, May Pang.

What, I wonder are the limits of her editorial control? If she's vindictive and dishonest enough to do this, would she go back to the studio and edit the audio recording- replacing the May Pang vocals?

Perhaps she can eventually edit those other non-John-and-Yoko people out of Sgt Pepper. It will have been John and Yoko all along.

I wouldn't put it past her.

Unreformed hawkish Hoosier hillbilly and sometimes candidate Al Barger runs the still squeezin' down the psychodelic Kentucky moonshine at MoreThings.com, what with the paranoid religious visions and the Pentacostal music and visions of God and anarchy running amok and such. Somebody oughta call the cops to report his out of control freedom of conscience. Till they come to take him away somewhere where he can't hurt anyone else, you can check out his weekly column of NEW ALBUM RELEASES.

I *like* Yoko. I think I'm the only person in the world who does.

The Plastic Yoko band was better than Wings.

I don't understand her pettiness when out of the other side of her mouth all she talk about is big-picture stuff and not being bitter about John's murder, and blah blah blah - schizo.

It's the same thing; slagging off females. When will this stop?

Cerulean, I'm rabidly feminazi, but I think Yoko is one who gives women a bad name. She's a professional groupie who happened to make good; as for Al's assertion she 'inspired' Lennon, with that kind of inspiration, he didn't need enemies. I consider his later work sucked big time.

ha ha
I would have probably done the same thing.
I like her even though she is obviously a little bit of a bitch.

Let's Give Peace a Chance.

Nancy, Double Fantasy was GREAT, a worthy finish for the man. "Woman" is a great song, among the obviously Yoko oriented ones.

Also, I'll give her much credit for at least the single "Walking on Thin Ice." That one's classic. I'm glad he spent his last evening working on something worthwhile.

Cerulean, baby you need to get some new material.

Well May Pang thinks she is an "authority" on everything about John and everyone who knew him. She is a nothing, a D list celebrity at best, and certainly more calculating and manipulating then Yoko ever was.

Personally I am glad that Yoko added herself to the Number 9 Dream video. Yoko did not change the vocals, she only added an image as there was no image of May or video of May. As I said before, here is the deal. May Pang is a worthless cunt. A whore for hire payed by Yoko to babysit John for a year. Obviously the song means more to Yoko and she as his wife has EVERY RIGHT to erase the presence of the whore she hired in the first place.

yoko does some silly stuff. she also is responsible for some fucking amazing music (see "yoko ono/plastic ono band," "fly" and the "walking on thin ice" single for a start). her 70's music was more constistently interesting than john's, and her influence over his later beatles/early solo work is vastly important. it's actually when they began to drift apart that john's work took the sudden downturn into boring mediocrity. just check out john's work on double fantasy. then look at yoko's work. ignore all your silly preconceptions, and see who is on top of shit.

as for "yoko broke up the beatles," go sit on it. paul and john broke up the beatles because of money and that's pretty damn obvious. they were growing apart anyway, and had been for years. and who cares? the beatles are perfect the way they are.

as for "yoko is a money-grubbing whatever," that may be true. she became quite the business-woman in the 70's, and no one should really fault her if she is ruthless when it comes to cash.

as for the may pang visual overdub... yeah, well... jealous woman. if any one of you have never done anything bad because of jealousy, i'll give you a big kiss.
