Return of the King: End of the Ring?

Again, I don't mean to say the ROK was perfect in every way and that I wouldn't change a thing if I was director. But Last seems a great deal more critical than just someone with a few bones to pick. To me Jackson got so much right that to castigate this as disappointing or a let down seems silly. The task before him was monumental and the expectations off the scale (as is obvious by Last's complaints). I think Last should try to put aside his expectations and enjoy the film for what it is, a truly beautiful ending to a miraculous work of art.
