Eminem stops his racist rap from being released

The Eminem / Source magazine feud continues...

First, The Source mag's Benzino planned to release that racist Eminem rap that surfaced last month on a cover mount CD with much of the magazine dedicated to discussing the track. As previously reported the rap, which bad mouths black women, was made by Marshall Mathers when he was an angry teenager.

Now representatives of Eminem have won a court injunction banning The Source from including the track on their CD. An Interscope spokesman yesterday confirmed: "The court has granted an injunction stopping the magazine from releasing the song."

Back at the Source, VP content Tracii McGregor says she is consulting with the magazine's attorneys to see what they will do next, but adds that the magazine is still being produced to its original schedule. By that reckoning the magazine would hit streets officially on 12 Jan but, given the Christmas break, would actually be produced and available in New York by next week.

As previously reported the rap, which bad mouths black women, was made by Marshall Mathers when he was an angry teenager.

Question: When did he stop being [or behaving] like an angry teenager?

There's worse stuff being put into the music market than Eminems tripe... just look at Justin Timberlake.

Well, since The Source does not own the material in question, this result seems right to me.

Wow. I know its been a long time past but still. Show me one person who hasn't said something racist or told a racist joke and I'll show you a liar. You guys are hypocrites about something that Eminem did as a kid. Look at black comedians, they say racist jokes (ie. cracker)about white people but you think its ok because you laughed. I'm sure we all have done something as a teenager that we regret but if he does truly apologize for it, then forgive. I understand the frustrations of someone thinking you are a certain way but if you don't want "white supremacists" laughing at you, then you have to tear down the generalizations that have been placed on your culture. To quote I-Kyaala:
"IT'S TIME FOR A SERIOUS BEATDOWN TO HAPPEN. RIGHT NOW! KICK HIS FACE IN, NOW!" Now do you honestly want everyone to perceive you as being a violent person? Why? Why fall into another stereotype that has been place on the black community. Why not rise above that and forgive. Lastly, to quote Emmanaul Lewis:
"I SAY FUCK THAT CRACKER". Aren't you being a hypocrite about the situation? I didn't realize racism is a double standard. Straight from the dictionary:
Cracker: an abusive or slang term for a white person.

If what situation was reversed? You mean a black guy being racist towards a white guy? Black comedians have been doing that for years. That doesn't receive any attention because white people just ignore it.

In all I'm just saying that, no one is better then anyone else and everyone makes mistakes. Forgive and forget, just don't be a hypocrite. Both sides have it bad but of course the black community has had it worse. We have come a long way since the Jim Crow laws and are making progress, there is no reason to stop now.
