Snip and Trip

Poor little Alex got snipped this morning - apparently he slept through the procedure, which is probably the best way to get a significant part of yourself sheared off.

As long as he is okay, Dawn is recovering so quickly we get to take her home today. Right now we're just waiting for my older daughter to get here and then we're heading over to the hospital, and I hope coming back with mother and son in tow.

Thanks again for all of your kind thoughts and wishes - the vibe has sure helped so far!

Poor Alex, indeed. My David is 7-1/2 and I still feel guilt over his snippage.

I hope mom and baby get to go home today; that would be terrific.

Unfortunately, the pediatrician played hardass and insisted Alex remain until Sunday morning because he shot out so quickly there wasn't time for Dawn to take antibiotics as a precaution against bugs in the tunnel O birth, as it were. So they had to stay - bummer. We'll get them tomorrow morning.

Congratulations, Dawn, on the birth of your son... God Bless you and Alex!
