This case saddens me. Maybe if sex offenders produce great albums/films they will be free from punishment? Even if the girl lied about her age it is the act of an intelligent and responsible adult to confirm she is of legal age. No excuses. If I close my eyes while driving & kill somebody does that make me not guilty of manslaughter? On the other hand...teenagers now are a lot more sexually aware. But an age gap such as this would, in my humble opinion, be too big an issue to let go.
