Track Weblog Trends with the Buzz-o-Meter
Published December 10, 2003
If you've ever wanted to know what subjects are generating the most buzz on weblogs, check out this neat new tool from Waypath.
It is called the Buzz-o-Meter. The Buzz-o-Meter generates a chart showing all mentions of a particular term in weblogs across the Web. It tracks a rolling, 45-day period.
I used it to generate the following chart tracking four technology trends. If you click on the chart image or legend, it will take you to search results for each search term.
Pretty neat, huh? To create a Buzz-o-Meter graph for up to five search terms of your choice, go to the Waypath Buzz Maker at: BuzzMaker.
Check it out and tell us what you think (I know you all will!).
P.S.: Visit Small Business Trends, the author's weblog, wherein she gathers large amounts of information on small business trends and shares it with the world, and where this post first appeared.

Here's another blog tracking site -- really just a personal experiment, but it tracks the most popular terms being mentioned in RSS feeds/blogs.

Thanks Anita, I hadn't heard of that one - man, there are a lot of blog trackers these days!
