Looks like the latest information implies that he might have been engaged in some seedy activity involving the internet, women and sex.

Hardly the first guy to be drawn into that unseemly world. I hope for his family's sake that he was not willingly involved in anything that might have brought him into contact with his would be murderers.

Nah, hits are a dime a dozen here. But B-more isn't all bad. There are lovely affluent sections, great art-centered neighborhoods, and lots of wonderful things to do. And in fairness, most of the crime is the busted-car-window variety. Baltimore is much more than its inner city and not nearly as nightmarish as "Homicide" and "The Corner" would have you believe. Those of us who live here believe that this city is a darn good city.

We'll have to wait and see, of course. But Baltimore is one crime-ridden, poverty blasted, tough town. I don't think it would be hard to buy a hit there at all. If the rap guys are behind this, they probably had the fellow done in on the cheap.

"Luna was prosecuting Baltimore rapper Deon Lionnel Smith, 32, and Walter Oriley Poindexter, 28, who were accused of dealing heroin and running a violent drug ring from their Stash House Records studio."

Note to Baltimore rapper: if you're going to run a violent drug ring from your recording studio, you may not want to call your label "Stash House Records." Someone might catch on. HTH. HAND.

This story was amazing to me. It seems way too much like a movie storyline to be real. Maybe just like in the movies the good guys will get the bad guys and the appropriate parties will go away for a very long time. To think that people can achieve their own version of "justice" through murder is terrifying.
