Frank Zappa: Ten Years Ago
Published December 04, 2003
The brilliant rock guitarist, satirist, composer and music curmudgeon passed away ten years ago today.
I still miss him...and I'd love to hear his take on the state of today's music scene/industry/mess.

For those who need a Zappa fix:
The Ensemble Modern is coming out with a new release "Greggery Peccary and other Persuasions" in January (supposedly).
Their website claims that the release date was November 17th, but I haven't seen it anywhere.
Was it really ten years ago?
I regret not discovering Zappa's music until just before he died, so I never had the opportunity to see him live.
Yes. I agree.
This is very interesting.
Thanks for the information!

Mark, thanks for reminding me.
Subliminally, I brought "Z in NY" "Roxy and Elsewhere" and "Joe's Garage" with me to work today.
What an outstanding talent.
Maybe tonight I'll go home and try to learn "Echidna's Arf (of you)" on the bass. Should be good for a few hours of pain and humiliation.
