X-Men - X2 on DVD
Published November 28, 2003
I will admit it. I am a sucker for any stories that include super powers as a part of the plot. With that being said, I thoroughly enjoyed the X-Men sequel, X2. It had a wonderful storyline that was constantly skewing the lines of good and evil. Mutants vs. Humans, Good Mutants vs. Bad Mutants, and Good Mutants and Humans vs. Bad Mutants. Did you get all that?
The special effects were amazing and they really let their imaginations run wild with what each character would be able to do with their respective skills. This movie saw the introduction of Nightcrawler who is a teleporter. It was fun to see all the different things he could do as the other characters got to know him. Also because he is a pious character, it really brought even more of the human characteristics to the mutants.
I won't spoil any of the plot points for you, but the acting was good from a top-notch cast. Rebecca Romijn-Stamos looked excellent even in a thick blue body paint, and the storyline and action sequences are well balanced. This is definitely worth a rental.

We watched "Batman 3" Thursday night and "Spider-Man" last night, guess we're due to pick up this one.
For the record, it might be a bit violent for Lily, just in case you were considering it a family event.
thanks Craig

Yes! Awesome action scenes. Killer special effects. Uplifting, necessay message. RRS in blue paint. And Hugh Jackman as the sexy, feral Wolverine. Bow, howdy!
X-2 is a winner, and the DVD extras, including the interviews and a behind-the-scenes on the Nightcrawler's big scene, are more than worth the money.
