Hurricane Party blows into town

Hurricane Party

Having unfortunately missed the band when they were opening for Skid Row, the band were kind enough to give me their five song EP. I have to say it's a fine collection of music. At times the band sounds very proggy 'Misplaced Paradise' (Yes/last Anathema album), at times a bit like the aforementioned Skid Row on 'Step Back', and Tesla on 'Last Survivor'. Overall this 5 track selection is a great slice of damn good hard rock. The EP is very professional, and the band is as tight as many bands on their second album. I hope they get a deal soon and release a full album.

Rating: 4/5

Marty's band, Growing Old Disgracefully, can be found at: Disgraceful Music. His Cthulhu tales can be found at Temple of Dagon.

Wow! Heard the song "last survivor" On The show Dog the bounty hunter. Fuckin' AWESOME tune, listened to some tunes online, they remind me of the black crowes, or shinedown. Early STP too!
