"Fingers" Jackson fans and mates defend him

Elizabeth Taylor was speaking out in defence of Michael Jackson this weekend at the end of a dramatic week for her long-time friend. Saying the pop star was "absolutely innocent" of child abuse charges she hit out at media coverage of the singer's arrest: "Their whole reaction is that he is guilty. I thought the law was 'innocent until proven guilty'".

Small groups of dedicated (obsessed?) fans held vigils in support of Jacko in cities around the world over the weekend, although attendance wasn't huge - in New York's Time Square only thirty fans showed up. However Jackson's spokesman Stuart Backerman said the singer appreciated the gesture and the hundreds of emails expressing support which have been sent by fans in the last week.

Whatever the reaction to the latest Jackson allegations around the world it didn't seem to harm his record sales. The Sony released greatest hits albums, which went on sale just 48 hours before the latest scandal broke, went straight in at number one on yesterday's album chart, pushing the Busted boys' second album, also out this week, into second place.

Whatever, Michael Jackson is guilty. People please do not try to feel sorry for him. Be sorry for those two boys.

I'm sorry for everyone involved. Including the second boy's mother, who apparently has a history of filing abuse cases. And I'm sorry, Janelle, that you don't seem to be able to grasp the concept of "presumed innocent until proven guilty." You are indeed entitled to your opinion, of course.

Diana, I agree that just because Jackson isn't "normal" and has done all kinds of bizarre things including alter his appearance beyond recognition, doesn't mean that he IS guilty of child molestation, but I wonder what makes you think he isn't guilty, since you state unequivocally that he is "not guilty." Why do you believe this?
