Excellence in Money Laundering?

Rush is being investigated for illegally funneling money to buy prescription painkillers:

In his third day back on the air after rehab, Limbaugh responded with a denial of the allegations first reported Tuesday by ABC News.

"I was not laundering money. I was withdrawing money for crying out loud," Limbaugh said in his three-hour broadcast.

Limbaugh was absent from his show for five weeks after announcing he was entering a drug rehabilitation program because of his addiction to prescription painkillers.

....Law enforcement sources in Palm Beach County, where Limbaugh owns a $24 million oceanfront mansion, previously confirmed that a criminal investigation into a prescription drug ring involved the conservative radio commentator. His maid reported supplying him with the painkillers. [AP]

With these kinds of allegations, I wonder how long before the IRS gets involved. Remember, it was the IRS that put Al Capone away - not that I'm comparing Rush and Al.

Also, this send-the-maid-for-the-drugs bit really sticks in my craw - go snag your own poison, you imperious skidmark, or are you too important to put yourself in harm's way? Did the gardener procure the hookers?

More on Rush here and here.

You are soooo funny Eric and I agree. BTW are you writing for MSNBC now also?

Eric, let me give you a lesson in responsible writing. Instead of "Did the gardener procure the hookers?" please use "did the gardener (allegedly) procure the hookers?"

I am just trying to save you a lawsuit from the "EIB" network. It's all about Excellence In Blogging.
