Another Jacko Attacko as Cops Raid Neverland

This just out:

Investigators conducting a criminal probe swarmed Michael Jackson's Neverland Ranch on Tuesday, a sheriff's spokesman said. The purpose of the search was not disclosed.

Jackson and his three young children were not at the ranch at the time of the raid, his spokesman, Stuart Backerman, told The Associated Press. He said that for three weeks Jackson and his family have been in Las Vegas, where Jackson was filming a video.

Backerman declined further comment, saying he still lacked detailed information about the purpose of the investigation.

More than 20 investigators from the Santa Barbara County sheriff's and district attorney's offices served a warrant about 8:30 a.m. as part of an "ongoing criminal investigation," Sgt. Chris Pappas said in a prepared statement.

....Jackson is also connected to Hollywood private eye Anthony Pellicano, who has begun serving federal prison time for possessing illegal explosives, and is being investigated about whether he secretly taped conversations of celebrities and their lawyers.

Pellicano, 59, reportedly worked for Jackson while the singer was under investigation for child molestation in the early 1990s.

As the raid was under way, Court TV reported that the warrant was tied to allegations brought by a 12-year-old boy. That could not immediately be confirmed by The Associated Press.

Court TV confirms:

Santa Barbara Sheriff's county officers executed a search warrant at Michael Jackson's Neverland ranch Tuesday morning in connection with an abuse charge from a 12-year-old boy, CourtTV's Diane Dimond is reporting.

Officers are still searching the expansive property.

....Thomas Sneddon, the District Attorney of Santa Barbara county, was among those entering the ranch in the Santa Ynez Valley. According to Dimond, officers came equipped with a paddy wagon, a portable toilet, and a crime scene evidence collection vehicle.

An ambulance was seen leaving the property shortly after the search began at around 12:00 p.m., ET.

The timing of this latest incident could further damage Jackson's already flagging career. On Tuesday, the self-proclaimed "King of Pop" released a collection of hits entitled "Number Ones," and was said to have been discussing a CBS network special set to air November 26.

I will refrain from comment until more facts come forth. I wonder if the Mean In Black will get involved.

Another attempt by the Devil to keep MJ opressed!

Hmmmm, or maybe yet another brilliant publicity coup by the King of Pop!

No Way ..Never...Land

why do folks allow their kids to be around someone like michael jackson?
i would not allow my two labs to stay with someone who had a history of animal abuse?
in fact I would not allow my two labs to stay with michael jackson...not even if he let them ride the ferris wheel.

now, on the other hand, I would be happy to have sex with michael jackson....for no other reason than to be able to share the details with friends and fellow bloggers. yes, I am a starfu**er from way back. i think I may be about 30 years to old for him....maybe 40....do ihear 50 years to old.

If your voice has changed you are too old.

Jack, this is taking "live to blog" to another level.

The number of investigators and gear out there does seem to be overkill, Brick -- unless they're implying the poor lost soul killed someone.

M.J. can be pretty manipulative when it comes to the press. We'll wait and see.

Reminds me to check up on the non-progress in the cases of Robert Blake and Phil Spector. (Hint: Rich people are good at buying delay in the criminal justice system.)

I agree. Overkill. I doubt MJ would launch this type of publicity on the very day that his latest greatest hits album was released. Then again, Michael is often clueless. He did go on national TV and state that he slept -- though not sexually -- with little boys.

The investigator is the same one who went after MJ a decade ago. This guy wants him -- bad, bad, shamoan.

I am reserving judgment until more facts are available. Have to admit, though, I can't imagine settling a molestation suit if one is innocent. But again, MJ seems to reside in his own little world.

Coming soon to FOX, Cellmates the newest reality show starring Michael Jackson and R Kelly. With special guest stars Paul Reubens and Jeffrey Jones.

I'm sorry...

If this does pan out, I hope they throw the book at the freak. The fact that the family settled for big cash 10 years ago rather than pursuing this in the courts for the good of society and especially every child who has subsequently come under Jackson's sway, makes me physically ill. I have given him the benefit of the doubt all along, and have hoped the allegations weren't true - talk about the abusive power of money. It's just sick on every level and there is an entire army of enablers who deserve punishment as well.

There probably isn't a better example of the rise and fall of a (once) talented artist than Michael Jackson.

How sad it is to see a living legend crash & burn in such a despicable manner. This guy had the world in his hands and threw it all away because he prefers twelve year old boys in his hands. The suggestion that this is a publicity stunt is utterly ridiculous. It in no way would make the masses flock to buy an album of pre-released material. I personally have thought since the first incident ten years ago that he is a pedophile. Chances are that this time it will be proven in court that he indeed is. If so, I hope they lock this b*st*rd until he's so old and shriveled up that not even a truckload of viagra will help.

It appears the worst is true, although I am trying to reserve final judgment - I don't want to assume he is a criminal just because he is weird as hell.

#11 — November 22, 2003 @ 12:15PM — Natalie Davis [URL]

For now, I presume him innocent. Someone has to, since the general public and the media won't.

regarding my predisposition to go with the "where there's smoke, there's fire" argument, I keep reminding myself of two words: "McMartin Preschool"

I always remember instances where people have accused me of things and made my life hell only to discover later that I was completely innocent.

#14 — November 22, 2003 @ 13:55PM — JR

Yeah, that's almost as bad as when they don't care enough to ever figure out you're innocent.

Ohhhhhh yes. Got the T-shirt.

Perhaps I've got A VIABLE SOLUTION for Michael Jackson's problems.

Its easy to pick on a perosn who has allready been picked on accuse him of something because he looks weird and I have no idea who is the person that said that he is no longer talented becasue thats totally BU**Sh**t, he might be crazy but he is one and only michael jackson who has sold more records than anyone has and i heard his latest album and its really good and you can actually relate to the songs not like some music that our kids listen to today he hasn't lost the plot when it comes to music but when it comes to his face and behaviour he needs some help , but just becasue he is not normal doesn't mean he is sexually abusing children .
