There is a new christian Irish band out called
IONA. They have a guitarist named Dave Bainbridge.
He could beat anybody on the list. ANYBODY. To
prove it rent the video IONA live in London. Enough said.

pat metheny, pat martino, john scofield, mike stern, jim hall, paco de lucia, and bela fleck (even though he is a banjo player) would wipe the floor with any of those top 10 except satriani and hendrix (whom they would still destroy, just not AS bad). jazz guitarists understand music theory like a rock guitarist could never even hope to, and flamenco guitarists have speed that rock guitarists can't touch. carlos santana shouldn't even be in the top 200.

JEFF CULLEN... UTUBE HIM. I saw Eargasm and it was in a club. AMAZING. He turned down Ozzy a bunch of times... they tried to get him to replace Zakk Wilde when Zakk and Ozzy had a tif.
The dude is i'd say the best of that genre hands down. My faves are Paul Gilbert, Malmsteen and Jeff Cullen,

I saw Jeff Cullen in the 90's. I have never seen or heard a better guitar player since. I was at the Roxy in L.A and it was packed...he came out after a break and changed the way i have looked at guitar ever since. I read he had the top ten guitar solos of all time with Eargasm... his 5 minute guitar solo... but i cannot find him in the poll.
He designed his own 30 fret guitar, his own amps and cabs too... he had effects wired into the guitar that make Hendrix and EVH look like jokers. Where is he... anyone know?
He was top 100 guitarists of all time for years... is he in a band?
