Suede essentially split yesterday, although they left the option to return at some point in the future. Writing on their website the band said they would be working on solo projects once the current tour and best of promotions were out of the way.

The statement reads: "Suede would like to announce that from next year they
will be working on their own individual projects. There will not be a new studio album until the band feel that the moment is artistically right to make one. This announcement does not affect the forthcoming touring commitments. Suede would like to thank the fans for their wonderful support over the years. See you in the next life."

A spokesman for the band added: "As far as I know it's all perfectly amicable. No specific reason for why they are going their separate ways has been given at this stage."

Marty's band, Growing Old Disgracefully, can be found at: Disgraceful Music. His Cthulhu tales can be found at Temple of Dagon.
