Manson fans riot

CMU reports:
A riot broke out at a Marilyn Manson concert in Kansas City, Missouri last week after the gig was cancelled three songs in.
The problems centred on the front of stage security barrier, which collapsed
midway through song number two. Attempts to fix it were unsuccessful, forcing the show's promoter to cancel the show.
Initially the 12,000 fans, although clearly disappointed, began to clear the venue. But then some 2000 or 3000 people began rioting in front of the stage, as a result of which venue security called in the police. The Kansas City police arrived in full riot gear, initially bringing the rioters under control, although another fracas led to fans throwing bottles at theofficers, and the police fighting back with pepper spray.
Commenting on the cancellation, although not the subsequent riot, Manson told reporters: "Even though the show was stopped twice for safety reasons, we wanted nothing more than to continue to play. Although we were not allowed to finish the show, we understand that safety needs to come first."
