Hey Mercedes - Loses Control

Now this is some true indie rock. It isn't scream-o. It isn't emo. It isn't pop/punk. It isn't stoner rock. It is just good old-fashioned, driving kickass, mother effing ROCK!

The singer won't blow you away with his vocal gymnastics. The guitarists won't show you their impressions of Yngwie Malmsteen because they are too busy doing old-school fret board rakes. The only thing that might impress you about these guys outright is their consistency. There is nothing ground breaking going on, but their commitment is impressive.

That being said, this kind of music might not be for everyone. If you are looking for deep meanings and heartbreaking drama, you are looking in the wrong place. This is not to say there is no meaning, but compared to other bands in the indie genre they don't even compare.

So, if you are in need of an album for your next road trip, I think this is your album. Or, if you get a chance to go see these guys play live, jump at the chance. Make sure you stretch your neck and practice the fist pump because there will be a lot of bouncing and cheering. Rock!
