Rod on everyone

CMU reports:
Rod Stewart - no doubt buoyant at scoring two new releases in this week's
Album Top 20 - has been hitting out in an interview with the Radio Times.
After commenting that Elton John should lose some weight, and referring to Sting as "Mr Serious Who Helps The Indians", he complains about media criticism of his relationship with model Penny Lancaster, 26 years his junior. He seems particularly aggrieved that there wasn't similar criticism for Paul McCartney's relationship with Heather Mills - the couple also have a 26 year age gap.
"He's 60 and Heather is 34, but they kill me because of Penny. Perhaps it's
because he has a knighthood, a wonderful little honour to be bestowed on one."
The lack of an honour for Mr Stewart seems to be something of a sore point
for Rod: ""I don't know why I haven't got any honour. I do my bit for charity. Maybe it will come along."
He continued: "Sharon [Stewart's pet name for Elton John] has one. She doesn't invite me to any of her dos, the miserable bugger. Perhaps she doesn't want competition. My hair is nice and real and looks it, and hers doesn't. No, I take that back. He looks good at the moment, but he could lose a bit of timber."
Paul posts his thoughts on Rod's comments.

Maybe Rod should concentrate on sharpening up his vocals skills. I saw a commercial the other day for his second set of standards and his voice is truly horrible for that kind of music. Why people are buying that crap when they could go find the real thing, I'll never understand. I'll also never understand quite why Rod thinks everyone cares what he thinks about other entertainers.
