Love tries to get child back
Published October 20, 2003
Reports in the New York Daily News say Courtney Love was in the LA Juvenile Court last week trying to convince a judge that she was mentally fit to look after 11-year-old Frances Bean Cobain. Love's daughter was placed in the
care of Kurt Cobain's mother Wendy O'Connor by officials with the Department
of Children and Family Services at the start of the month after those previously reported drugs charges, and that reported overdose. No word on the court's decision; a spokesman for the child welfare agency would only say they were: "investigating the matter.

many of us have expressed at some length our concern for Frances Bean
Why did it even take this long for child welfare to investigate Courtney Love? Because she is rich and can afford a nanny to take care of her child while she goes out partying. I believe the child welfare agency finds this to be acceptable celebrity behavior until it ends up in the headlines.
I am sure the child would be much better off in the care of a nanny than either Love or the child services.
