Beyond Pain radio program

Beyond Pain, the first program of a three-part radio series on dying, Heart to Heart, is particularly timely. It "focuses on how fear of addiction and the War on Drugs undermine pain management at the end of life." Sounds like Rush Limbaugh should listen to it.

It is airing today (Saturday) on KQED 88.5 FM in San Francisco at 1 pm and 2 am early Sunday morning (both Pacific time). Unfortunately, there is only a 2 minute excerpt on the website and no listing of other stations airing it.

People can listen to it streaming live on KQED (just click on the listen live button under "what's on now?" at the link above).

There is also a page with links to resources on pain.

Poynter has put together some resources on pain pill addiction.
