New Blogcritics Always Welcome

Written by Eric Olsen

We are always looking for new Blogcritics: we cover music, books, film, TV, video, politics, technology, the Internet, and in particular the areas where any of these topics converge. We can always use reviews, news (with some thoughts of your own) and commentary on any of these subjects.

About the only stipulations we have are that you maintain a blog of your own, and that you give a good effort: we are, after all, "a sinister cabal of superior bloggers on music, books, film, popular culture, and technology."

We would also like you to try to contribute at least once a week - the more you contribute, the more you get out of it. Blogcritics is an excellent way to get wide exposure for your blog, your writing, and your ideas.

I look forward to hearing from you. Just send me an email (see the front page) with your name, blog URL, and your primary areas of interest and we'll go from there. Thanks so much for reading and for your interest,
Eric Olsen

UPDATE 3/8/04
If you are interested in joining Blogcritics, please do not leave as RSS feed: there is nothing we can do with it, we don't work from RSS feeds in any way. All members post their own stories directly into the system. Nothing is automatic. Thanks. If you have a blog and are interested in joining, just let me know as discussed above. Thanks again.

Career media professional Eric Olsen is honored to be the founder and publisher of Blogcritics.org, which, quite frankly, rules - as do his wife and four children.

It's along the right hand column beneath "editor". You can hold down the CTRL key in IE and press F and then put in the word "editor" and you'll navigate right to it.

The Nap Room

#14 — February 20, 2004 @ 14:27PM — Mark Saleski [URL]

looks good, though the top logo/kitty photo gets chopped off in mozilla (if you care about such things)

#15 — February 20, 2004 @ 14:31PM — Tom [URL]

hmmmm. Let me take a look

How is it getting chopped off? The logo in the

"The Nap Room" part is cropped from the original one in color.

#16 — February 20, 2004 @ 14:36PM — Mark Saleski [URL]

not sure, if you've got any absolute positioning stuff in your "content" or "blog" classes then mozilla may be ignoring it.

#17 — February 20, 2004 @ 16:42PM — Mac Diva [URL]

People ask me about Blogcritics. I tell them about Blogcritics.

Some here are a little more sinister than others. Just ask CW, but he makes no apologies about it :-)

Blog focused on B2B lead generation, sales and marketing matters

#24 — February 25, 2004 @ 07:16AM — jadester [URL]

http://blog.WorkAtHomeMadeEasy.net appears to be, as i suspected, a blog about multi-level-marketing, the scammiest "business" around.
Although i'll give it credit for being the very first blog i've seen that is focused on MLM

#25 — February 25, 2004 @ 07:48AM — Eric Olsen

Again, simply stating your existence doesn't really do anything - if you want to join, please say so.

Hello -

I would like to suggest nPost.com for inclusion in your site.

URL - http://www.npost.com
RSS URL - http://www.npost.com/interviews_rss.rdf

I run this site, and feature interviews with CEOs and Entrepreneurs that I conduct, speaking about the economic issues of the day, hiring, and the general state of the economy. All interviews are free, and we do not charge companies to be featured. All interviews are completely unbiased.

Regards -

Nathan Kaiser

Can you sign me up? Here is my news feed: http://bridgesbuilder.typepad.com/nw/index.rdf

#34 — March 8, 2004 @ 18:09PM — Phillip Winn [URL]

Guys, it's pretty bloody unlikely that you'll find a comfortable home here if you can't manage to read. You want to be included here? Keep your RSS feed to yourself, and try what Eric posted, please:

Just send me an email with your name, blog URL, and your primary areas of interest and we'll go from there.

That's all, nothing else. We don't combine aggregate RSS feeds or whatever crazy thing all of you seem to be thinking we do, and that assumption of yours makes you look pretty foolish. A simple poke around the site would reveal that isn't what we do, and more to the point actually reading this post would do the same.

Please, think of the children.

Please, think of the children.

I just wanted to suggest the rss feed of TyMeLyNe.CoM. It is a urban / hip hop site with fresh daily news content.

Here's the url: http://www.tymelyne.com/portal%20Folder/news.rss

#41 — March 16, 2004 @ 18:12PM — Phillip Winn [URL]

'Twould be interesting to make a list of all of the morons who can't be bothered to read in their never-ending quest to promote whatever ridiculouse site they're blindly promoting, and submit each to a spamtrap somewhere.

I don't think I want to visit the website of anyone who can't read, much less subscribe to the XML feed.

I blame http://www.masternewmedia.org/2004/02/05/rsstop55_best_blog_directory.htm
