I remember seeing Living Colour for the first time when they openned for the Rolling Stones on the Steel Wheels tour. As a band they had something to say. Vernon Reid is a great guitar player that is very at home in the hard rock element and letting it rip! Bands like Living Colour are needed these days because there's an attempt at integrity ion the music and lyrics. ]]>

I forgot about Scorsese's Blues series! Why couldn't they show this stuff in the summer when nothing else was on and it was too hot to do anything else but watch TV?! ]]>

One of the best shows I saw was Living Colour at Maxwell's in Hoboken, NJ in 1988. I also interviewed them around that time. Unfortunately, I don't still have a copy of the local music magazine I contributed to when I was in college. ]]>
