Living Colour: picking up where they left off
Published September 29, 2003
Living Colour is BACK. Check out soundclips from their new album, Collideoscope, at the German Amazon (why only the German site, I can't imagine.) Be forewarned - these are REALLY crappy RealAudio clips. The only positive thing I can say is that the songs are exactly what fans were hoping for, and the band picks up right where it left off with the ultra-aggressive Stain - 10 years ago.
Must hear - their cover of AC/DC's classic "Back In Black." Corey Glover screams unlike anything I've ever heard him do before. Also check out the official site for more goodness.
Hey, why not check out unproductivity too? Free for you, cheap for them! No, wait . . . it's free for them too.

this is great news....a fantastic and talented band coming back around to maybe kick the young folks square in the ass.
lookin' forward to it.
Stain came out ten years ago? yikes! how the hell did that happen?!!!
Vernon was on the blues series last night - looked edgy and ready to rock.
Also, I interviewed them backstage at the first Lollapalooza, super cool guys. i wish them only the best.
I forgot about Scorsese's Blues series! Why couldn't they show this stuff in the summer when nothing else was on and it was too hot to do anything else but watch TV?!
Ooh, our TV knob gets dusty in the summer, other than the Indians
I remember seeing Living Colour for the first time when they openned for the Rolling Stones on the Steel Wheels tour. As a band they had something to say. Vernon Reid is a great guitar player that is very at home in the hard rock element and letting it rip! Bands like Living Colour are needed these days because there's an attempt at integrity ion the music and lyrics.

One of the best shows I saw was Living Colour at Maxwell's in Hoboken, NJ in 1988.
I also interviewed them around that time. Unfortunately, I don't still have a copy of the local music magazine I contributed to when I was in college.
