Prosecution begins in Chicago club tragedy.

This from CMU:
Elsewhere in US venue tragedies, officials Chicago have prosecuted four men with manslaughter after the incident at the city's Epitome 2 nightclub back
in February that led to the death of 21 club-goers. As previously reported,
that tragedy was caused when a security guard used pepper spray to break up
a fight between two female clubbers. That action led to a panic, which in
turn led to a dangerous stampede as club goers all tried to exit the venue.
Prosecutors say the incident became so serious because the club was severely
overcrowded. The four men they claim are responsible for this overcrowding -
club owners Dwain Kyles and Calvin Hollins Jr., club manager Calvin Hollins
III and party promoter Marco Flores - have all be charged with involuntary
manslaughter. Owners Kyles and Hollins will also be charged for violating a
July 2002 order that was supposed to halt the club's operations.
