Thanks Michelle, now I don't have to post this (smile)!

Thank you! ;)

Perhaps I'm not the right person to comment on this, because in Germany we get these shows two or three years late. But isn't there any other show than "The Sopranos" that could win once in a while. It gets boring.

If you could suggest a series, which one but The Sopranos would you choose?

I didn't see this last season of the Sopranos so I can't judge - in fact I didn't watch ANY of the shows that won other than Door to Door, a couple of Jon Stewarts, a couple of Curb Your Enthusiasms (which is almost too painful to watch - in a good way), and one Monk episode. I am not a very good judge either.

I just finished a binge over the weekend watching season two of The Wire. It kicks The Sopranos ass (and I'm a huge Sopranos fan).

It also is on HBO, is a 13 ep series about police and crooks in Baltimore. Very complex serial with a single story arc.

I'm also liking Dead Like Me and intriqued by Carnivale.

I couldn't suggest something, because I know only a few of the shows. So I wouldn't judge. But every year when I brood over the fact that Joss Whedon doesn't get recognition it is, because The Sopranos won. And Everybody loves Raymond (which I don't find funny at all).

True, I don't find anything cool about Everybody Loves Raymond, too. But that's probably just the US audience that has a different kind of humor than Germans. I don't know. I love the show Scrubs a lot, though I don't know whether it could ever win an Emmy.

Over at teevee.org, they've given Scrubs a couple of awards because the Emmys are too stupid.

They've also given the love to the home of the wackey and the wierd in the Jossverse. Though they did call Whedon fans the most annoying in teevee. And stepped up at Whedonesque to defend their own bad selves.
