Moodstats - Also for your blog
Published September 22, 2003
Moodstats rocks. It's a small tool you have to install on your computer to update your moodstats. You have three categories that are set to default: Mood, Creativity, Stress. And then you can choose three more categories that only you yourself interest.
Every day you can set your stats and choose a rating between 0 and 10 for each category. In graphs you can see the development of your moods throughout the weeks, months, years. You can also compare your mood to other users using the software. Plus you can make a written diary entry each day only for yourself to be saved in your program.
When you synchronise the data with the software of Moodstats your settings are saved externally and don't get lost.
If you do not buy the software you can only enter about 20 days of data and have to always delete the old data to be able to fill in more data. If you want to buy Moodstats you pay $15.00 one time and receive all updates for free afterwards.
Versions are available for Mac and for PC.
Screenshots of the application are available here.
The really cool thing though is that you can add Moodstats to your weblog or just any website you want. I've been using the application for months now and run it on my website at Vacuity. When you go down the page on the left and click on the link "Moodstats" then you can see how you can add it to your website. Though Macromedia Shockwave needs to be installed.
I can also add that the service of the company is very nice and fast. When you have a problem they reply quite fast and are of help.
And trying to crack the program will be of no help, folks! You have to buy the program to use it over a long term. When you have a key code then and load the program with it for the first time it externally registers you with your stats data, and nobody else can use it but you yourself, except for when you want to share Moodstats with a friend and update it together.

You're welcome! Yes, I've used iMood also before, but what bothered me what that I could never save my moods over a longer term. This program is cool, it's almost like your personal biorhythm when you're honest.
I didn't get how you 'add moodstats to your blog', could you please tell me how to go about doing this?

Cool, thanks for sharing :) Reminds me a bit of imood, but certainly more involved stats-wise. I've thought a few times about writing a quick app to update and track my moods set at imood. It's neat seeing that somebody has already done this with a different system.
