Rapper murder trial begins

The murder trial of the unfortunately named rapper (given the circumstances) C-Murder, has begun with the lawyer for the prosecution telling the court that Steve Thomas, the teenager he is accused of killing in a nightclub shooting, was a devoted fan of the MC.

The prosecution allege C-Murder, real name Corey Miller and brother of rap star Master P, was among a small group who got into a fight with Thomas at a
New Orleans club. As the fight developed Miller, they claim, took out a gun and shot Thomas in the chest.

Miller admits being in the club when the shooting took place in January 2002 but he denies being involved. The prosecution's main witness, Miller's lawyer claims, is lying about seeing a gun in his client's hand.

The trial is expected to run for about three weeks. If found guilty Miller faces a mandatory life sentence.

Marty's band, Growing Old Disgracefully, can be found at: Disgraceful Music. His Cthulhu tales can be found at Temple of Dagon.
