As The Darkness try to create in America something like the buzz they
achieved over here, frontman Justin Hawkins spoke to Billboard ahead of the
band's sell out gig last night at the Bowery Ballroom in New York. He told
the trade mag: "We've always been a band that's divided people. The people
that loved us absolutely loved us, and the people that hated us fuckin'
hated us. It was always a good indication that we weren't going to be a
coffee table band. But we are going to be a band that has a really strong,
devout following.
