Radio Sunnydale

Reasons why the RIAA member companies couldn't sell sno-cones in hell pt. {oh, I've lost track - they're just a big bunch idjits}.

Purportedly, according to Amazon, "Buffy The Vampire Slayer: Radio Sunnydale" is going to be instores in less than two weeks. However, there's no tracklisting, no cover artwork, no packaging information.

And before you waste your time trying to find the info on the Virgin Records site (the purported distributor of this CD) don't bother, because you won't find it.

So, you've got a fanatical core audience for a teevee show which made music an important part of most episodes (The Breeders and Amiee Mann for example in the last season), and you pre-sell an album eight weeks before street date, and you can't get your act together to tell the potential buyers what is on the album? After all the soundtrack for "Once More With Feeling" was only one of the top BlogCritics picks for last year (but that was on Rounder, an indie who know how to sell records).

Just based on the title, the CD is currently ranked at #314 on Amazon with no info.

So when somebody from the majors bleats about downloads hurting record sales, boot them in the prunes, stupidity is hurting record sales.

*sigh* it is so unappealing and frustrating, knowing how ever stupid record company retail is, there are fans who are worse.

Don't try to solve for an idiot-proof solution, because they are hard at work making a better idiot.

And all you Avril Lavigne fans can just lick my hindquarters, and pay attention to the detrius about my anus (like that is ever going to show up on a google search).

I knew there was a reason why Sunnydale was left as a huge smoking crater, we get email:

come on.. That the most rudest thing! I'm not stupid. I have a 4.0 GPA! u ass hole!

You will be most pleased to know that your screed was flagged by my spam filters as "Junk", but I delicately removed it from the trash and put it into another folder.

You can't spell, you can't do simple math, you have no reading comprehension. I'm sorry, you're not stupid, you're just ignorant.

No wonder Angel broods and Spike writes bloody awful poetry. How many more weeks until the new season of "Angel" starts? *cough-two* What's that? *cough-two*

Oh, about the same time as the "Radio Sunnydale" compilation is expected in stores, when they traditionally rack albums on Tuesdays, you say?

*cough-ar-cough-se-cough-hole*

well, apparently everyone's in the dark about this cd... even billboard.com says michelle branch's fantastic rendition at the Bronze is on the cd, but those who have put reviews on the website since the cd's release say its not on there, nor is the bush song, two of the three reasons I want to buy the cd in the first place...

personally, I haven't been able to find it anywhere, none of the best buys and circuit cities around here have even heard of it...

I didn't even know the CD existed until I saw it lying on my English teacher's (gasp) desk. Apparently, the quality of advertising has decreased dramatically.

Well, that's their secret plan, innit? Get to the English teachers and librarians, then gradually fade into oblivion. Because they're evil geniuses at Virgin Music, ain't they? Bloody brilliant, they are. It's nothing but cuppa tea, cuppa tea, almost got shagged, cuppa tea.

What if they released a record, and nobody bought it -- it's the fault of the internet!

Comment to number 6: Buffy Main Title Theme" - The Breeders (We know Nerf Herder did the original theme so we're not sure if this is a cover)

The Breeders did the orginal Buffy Theme from Season 1 until 3(i think 'til 3); then Nerf Herder does the rest of the seasons. Listen to the theme from the CD and an episode from Season, they are the same. And then listen it from Season 7 and its different.

Goodbye to You is not on the cd, but it should have been.

BZZZTTTT! Sorry wrong answer. According to the commentary on the DVD sets of BtVS, Nerf Herder did the theme. However, they re-recorded it because the drumming was off. It was then re-mixed in subsequent seasons as they changed the credit montage.

The Breeders do the version of the theme on "Radio Sunnydale", this was recorded at the time The Breeders appeared at The Bronze in season 7 in "Him". The details about the track are here.

THE BREEDERS 'KIM and KELLEY DEAL are set to make cameo appearances in cult TV show 'BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER' .

The pair were invited to star after the show's producer heard their version of the 'Buffy Theme' , which has become a mainstay of their live sets this year.

The band's version of the theme tune will feature as one of the bonus tracks on their forthcoming single, a re-recorded version of 'Son Of Three' , a track taken from the band's recent 'Title TK' album.

A spokesperson for The Breeders told NME.COM : "The band have always acknowledged they watch too much TV, and the upshot of covering the 'Buffy' theme is that the producer, a long-time Breeders fan, is working on getting Kim and Kelley into an episode in the next series."
