American Psycho Meets Batman

Christian Bale, best known as Patrick Bateman from the movie American Psycho, has been picked by Warner Brothers to take over the role of Batman in the latest installment.
Memento director Christopher Nolan will direct Bale in "Batman: Year One" which focuses on Bruce Wayne's first year as a crime fighter.
You already knew Bale as Bateman, just drop the "e" and you're all set. Perhaps Batman can ask the villain, "Do you like Huey Lewis?"

Man, I LOVED Memento. Then I saw Nolan's first picture, the painfully amateurish "Following." Now I think the whole non-linear time thing is not much more than a gimmick that he's likely to use over and over again until sometimes hits him over the head with a digicam.
One word prediction for this movie: Baleful.

Sometimes I wonder why this Batman series slugs on. Time for it to take a rest and come back in 20 years or so when the stain of Micheal Keaton playing the overly dark, brooding cavedweller has dissipated.
