A critic that hates ...Mexico

Man, this guy doesn't like Once Upon a Time in Mexico at all. I'm going to see this movie tomorrow, and I've got high hopes, but I'm also worried. Everyone knows that the third movie of a trilogy usually sucks (The Godfather, Star Wars, Hannibal, which I'm counting as the third because of Manhunter, and Alien3. Exceptions include Army of Darkness and, hopefully, The Matrix and The Return of the King). I really liked El Mariachi, and Desperado was even better.
Plus, this movie steals the title from a long line of decent movies: Once Upon a Time in... America, China, the West, and the Midlands. Good pedigree, that.
When do you think we'll see a Once Upon a Time in Canada? Oh, yea, as soon as Canuckistan proves to be interesting, i.e., never.

Well, when the movie is made in Canada (and I'm sure it's already done by Bruce MacDonald) it will be called "Burn Your Showshoes".

Anyway, please post once you've seen the movie, I'm a little leery myself.
After all, even the Once Upon A Time In China movies declined after about the fourth one or so... ;)
