"Improper Contact"

Marilyn Manson doesn't seem to be able to leave security guards alone:

A security guard is suing Manson for an incident at Minneapolis' Historic Orpheum Theater in October 2000, when Manson crouched at the end of the stage, pulled the guard's head back toward his crotch and gyrated.

Lawyers for David Diaz, who is seeking more than $75,000, said during closing arguments that publicity from the event has been humiliating.

....Manson's counsel also used testimony from several of Diaz's friends to argue that the case didn't gain Diaz notoriety until he filed the lawsuit.

....In June 2002, Manson pleaded no contest to being a disorderly person and assault and battery in a similar case stemming from a concert in Clarkston, Mich.

That case, too, involved a guard who alleged Manson made improper contact with him. Manson was ordered to pay fines and costs totaling $4,000. [AP]

Marilyn, maybe you should inform the guards before the show that you may be accosting them, and perhaps even get permission to do so. That would seem to preclude these kinds of "misunderstandings."

But hey, it could be worse - my son liked him at Ozzfest.

How unfortunate. Manson seems to have some problems with authority and self-control. In contrast, I have an old tape recording of Nirvana playing in Rome. Krist told the security guards several times to 'take it easy' with the kids. Just goes to show, aggressive bands don't have to be schmucks.

Never been a Manson fan, musically or otherwise. Can someone recommend some music by them that is decent? A serious request, no sarcasm intended. Maybe I should just use the search function ;)

Wow, this diverse crowd and nobody can recommend any Marilyn Manson to listen to? I'm guessing no Manson fans saw my comments. Maybe this bump will help.

Sorry TD, I would say Anti-Christ Superstar is the quintessential MM album, although there are much more devoted fans than I, that one about sums him up.
