Rush & Reagan

Rush Limbaugh has an op-ed in the Wall Street Journal which is supposed to be about the California recall but mostly is a chance for him to praise Ronald Reagan. It is touching, but might have been a bit more convincing if Rush had actually bothered to vote for the Gipper.

Failing to vote is something he has in common with Arnold (Rush voted for the first time when he was 35).

A couple of weeks ago, he was talking about a study comparing him to bloggers. Although Rush is totally into computers (he met his third wife on Compuserve), he didn't seem to understand blogging very well.

I've actually listened to Rush a bit recently, and unlike Michael Savage, he actually does have talent (though not on loan from god) when it comes to radio (tv is another matter - for over a year around 94 I listened to his radio show and watched his tv show - and if only Roger Ailes had brought the magic he worked on Rush's tv show to Fox News, it wouldn't still be around to sue Al Franken).

One thing Rush isn't good at is actually carrying on a debate. On radio, he is in complete control (this is a description of a rare case when someone really challenged him).
