Natalie, about the "acknowledgment doesn't mean you're gay" thing - I personally have trouble recognizing whether a man is good-looking or not. I can't figure out why my wife finds David Bowie (especially in Labyrinth) to be the studliest thing on Earth, with Morgan Freeman second and Sean Connery third (I can see the Connery thing). I mention Denzel Washington to her as someone I find visually captivating (to echo Duane above, I'm not gay - did I mention that?) and she tells me he's not at all attractive. I've never understood what the big deal was with Fabio a few years back - he looks like a complete dwid to me. So I shrug and don't bother to try. If women tell me a guy is hot, I believe 'em, but more than half the time it makes no sense to me.

This is a fantastic movie! Anyone who says otherwise is just plain tasteless. I mean honestly, there's stuff in it for everyone!! For the men: lots of adventure and battles. For the women: Orlando and Johnny!! It couldn't have been made any better, it's just not possible! There should DEFINITELY be a sequel, as long as Johnny and Orlando are in it. well, the thing is that Johnny is cool AND hot ;) !!!Orlando Bloom was good but he wasnt one of the characters you would remember. Lets face it- if Orlando Bloom wasnt plyin Will Turner, you would be like Will the who? his character was played weak, compared to Captain Jack Sparrow, who is defenitely standing out and played GREAT!!! Johnny gave the character a great charm and ahowed the coolest side ;).Keira Knightly played really great in the PotC too, two thumbs up!

Wow is all i gotta say abt this movie. O man we've had the DVD since the day it came out..and i never saw it before but after having plenty of girls and even some guys, raving about it in school, I just knew POTC was gonna be a good movie. This movie was absolutely brilliant. Anyone who says otherwise is seriously blind. The storyline, the action, and the actors put together made it movie of the year. And, yes, i am going to say Orlando and Johnny are the hottest men alive. Thank you.

I certainly enjoy watching Johnny Depp act, but I'm not "in love" with the actor. However, I have a HUGE crush on Capt. Jack Sparrow. Yeah, spirit me away on a pirate ship...! Orlando Bloom played his part brilliantly, but Will Turner was not the focus of the story (plus he was supposed to be playing the nerd).

Ember, I think Cap'n Jack would have two reactions. One: the same reaction to Will's three-hour practice with a sword. Two: if people watched it 80 times just for him, I think he'd be quite flattered, if you know what I mean.
Secondly, COME ON, people. This is Pirates of the Caribbean we're talking about. It's got pirates and ships and the British navy. They haven't even invented cars yet during the storyline. How could it *possibly* be about time travel? Also, there is a very big and fancy rumor that is spread all across the internet that the sequel is titled "The Treasure of the Lost Abyss". As once poster pointed out, the Abyss was the first ship to sail in the Caribbean. Obviously, it was lost. Can't you just see Captain Jack Sparrow finding some lost treasure? After all, he did find the Isle de Muerta, which is a place that nobody can find unless they already know where it is. Since Cap'n Jack was most likely Captain of the Black Pearl at the time they found it, I think it'd be safe to say the Cap'n Jack can find anything.
And thirdly and lastly, I do believe that you all need to find yourself a girl or a man, mates. Indeed, Orli and Johnny are quite possibly the hottest men to walk the earth at this time, but really. Don't you think they'd want to be remembered for their talents and not their looks? Just a thought.

I really really liked the movie. Keira Knightly is very pretty and Orlando Bloom is very cute. I must admit, they look very good together. Johnny Depp is a very good actor, I like his accent! All in all, Iam happy that they're going to make a 2nd movie!

All, right lads and lasses. You really have got to stop using "Jonny is soooooooooooooooo hott!" and "Orlando is soooooooooooooooo hot!" Seriously, come on, enough is enough. I, personally, find Johnny as Jack very aesthetically pleasing, as is Orlando Bloom. (If you don't know what "aesthetically" means, dictionaries are wonderful things!) hey has anyone seen benny and joon? its got johnny depp in it also. i noticed theres a line from that movie in the deleted scenes. when will knocked out jack in the cave with the oar and then he is talkin to the pirates about how the french came up wit parley? he says something about raisins and how they are humiliated grapes? i guess u have to see benny and joon to get it but i found it funny.
on another note i think johhny depp would find it slightly creepy and stalkeresque if he found out someone watched potc 100 times just for him, but tahts just my opinion. ive watched it alot, no doubt, but that just scary to be that obsessed wit someone ull never meet

They will release them back to back like the 2nd and 3rd Matrix movies. I also heard that in the 2nd one Will and Elizabeth get married and Jack gets drunk at the ceremony and that Jack's neice is supposed to be in one of them. She will be like 10 or something and will be in love with Will. Another thing that I heard is that Will and Elizabeth are going to have a daughter. I don't know how old. They are filming in January 2005 and will be released in August 2005. These statements might be wrong. I don't know. It is just what I've read and heard.

Hey Brittany. You have the same name as me. I would assume that in order to be in POTC 2, you would first have to get an agent. Don't worry, they don't cost anything until you get a job. Then they usually take ten percent of what the job pays. So, find an acting agency near you, and also put together a portfolio with pictures and your acting resume. If you search the internet, there are several sites which give you a step by step process of breaking into the movie scene. Your agent will inform you of upcoming auditions, but you might have to travel far in order to be there.
