Accountability, especially in Hollywood where many millions are risked on some of these major motion pictures, is a big issue these days, unfortunately. What I find interesting is the often lopsided proportion of dollars spent versus dollars earned. Some films they throw almost no budget into and they hit a chord with audiences and become big $$ money makers $$ and some of these other films (Star Wars I and II for example) have enormous budgets bestowed upon them to meet with underwhelming results. ]]> 15706@blogcritics.org Fri, 22 Aug 2003 20:21:59 EDT
