I've found Silent Bob! So, you have seen Freddy vs Jason... Yet have you seen: Freddy vs Jay and Silent Bob?

I have came across this fan film. It's about 6mins long and it rocks! It's great to see Jay and Silent Bob back in action.

It's on a number of bit torrent websites. Here's a <a href="http://www.torrentbox.com/torrents-details.php?id=22208">link to one:</a>

It's a wacky, fast paced crazy film. Very entertaining.

First of all if you are a fan of Kevin Smith movies you should understand why they spent so much time writing so the story is a little tighter. I haven't seen the movie so I don't know whether it is annoying or not (I will take your word for it) but the die-hard fans of Freddy and Jason are right up there with Star Trek people, Comic Book people and Kevin Smith fans. If the effort isn't put forth to encourage some fluidity and attention to the past, then it is immediately written off. So with a built in fanbase, the writers needed to pay some attention to the backstories and the previous films, much the way Smith does on a comedic level in his Jersey Trilogy. Keep in mind they are combining two disparate franchises here.

Doh! That would be "feasible" ... guess I should run my comments through a spellchecker. You spelled it right and I didn't, so my bad there.

Something else I'm sort of curious about, because I'm one of those people who didn't like the Jay and Silent Bob flick (didn't make it through the first 30 minutes, actually), what was I missing in that movie?

I guess I'll search for a review of that movie here, Amazon and/or also Google it.

Feasable plot? I think you meant plausible by your review description. I doubt that most slasher flicks, even the classics, would qualify in the plausibility department.

How many times have we seen characters in this movie genre do things that people would never do in real life? Don't go down those stairs in the dark when people are dying down there, don't split up from the group when you know that there's a killer out there, etc.

Actually, I think the writers and director were trying to bring out more of the Godzilla vs. ____ crowd, and in fact even cites on the Freddy vs. Jason website the Godzilla movies as an inspiration.

And we all know how plausible those Godzilla movies were, but they were still mostly fun, once you got past the signature imperfections.

Freddy vs. Jason has to be viewed with almost the same mindset going in, I think, or it will be a disappointment.
